In an effort to meet the growing needs of our client base, we have recently diversified into the “vertical” building market segment and now offer architectural services. In the very near future we will be expanding into additional engineering services (such as mechanical, electrical, structural, etc.) as well as furthering our offering of construction management services for various building project types. We are now recruiting for a Director of AEC Operations and Quality Control of this expanding AEC business to be located in our Murfreesboro, TN offices.
SUMMARY:
The Director of AEC Operations and Quality Control will be responsible for successfully setting up and then managing an integrated AEC team oriented process and management system for efficient and effective internal operations across multiple offices.

| Duties: | The successful candidate will contribute to the continual, strategic development and refinement of the following job responsibilities, currently including but not limited to those listed below:
Develop and Manage Delivery of AEC Services:
- Develop the team approach and infrastructure necessary for the fast growth and effective management and operations of our developing AEC team and their integrated project delivery processes including:
- Team Building
Definition and management of an effective staffing model for an integrated AEC offering and excellent client service
- Creation of a high performing “great” team culture built on trust, that encourages constructive, diverse perspectives and proactively deals with conflict; while driving for clear team-based commitments focused on results that are supported and realized
- Development, integration and management of our existing and new staff, processes and operations to provide a high level of client service, confidence and trust as well as consistent profitability, through our staff’s professionalism, transparency, performance and accountability
- Effectively lead, organize, assign, motivate, and evaluate employees
- Project Management (PM) across multiple office locations
- PM communication and reporting in a “paperless” office environment
- Setting up and overseeing filing system and protocol for easy daily use and archiving of all documents including emails
- Preparation of and regular project team use of clear, concise and complete reports utilizing Deltek
- Quality Control Procedures – for consistent quality performance and risk management during design and construction
- Including fee contracts, proposals, cost estimating, office standards, processes, etc.
- Green Building Design and Construction – establishing and managing staff processes for delivery of performance based, client oriented green building
- CAD/BIM (3D) – establishing standards (sheets, layers, etc.) defining what needs to be drawn and documented to balance the needs to control design with construction
- Utilizing Autodesk Revit, and other associated integrated project delivery and sustainable design tools and processes
- Miscellaneous – participate in the running of projects or other tasks as needed for the firm succeed

Education/Experience:
- Industry Professional with at least 15 years of broad AEC related experience;
- Integrated Project Delivery project experience;
- BIM, preferably Revit, knowledge;
- Green Building experience and LEED AP status preferred.
