|Description:||The Survey Technician is proficient in drafting techniques specific to land surveying. This includes data processing, topographic survey drafting, and boundary survey drafting techniques. Additional skills required include mathematical concepts such as plane and solid geometry, trigonometry, basic survey computations and the ability to apply concepts as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportion to practical solutions. A person in this position should also have a thorough understanding of field survey procedures and research techniques.|

|Duties:||•Receives project assignments from Geomatics Division Manager.|
•Drafting of maps and plats using CAD.
•Prepare preliminary property descriptions and exhibits.
•Communicate with field personnel.
•Properly prepare and maintain survey records.
•Perform deed research online or at various government offices.
•Maintains project files.
•Assumes other special activities and responsibilities as needed and assigned.
•Searches for ways to improve methods or procedures and makes suggestions to the Geomatics Division Manager.
•Punctual in work assignments.
•Conducts self in a professional manner in the presence of clients and co-workers.
•Meets project schedules and budgets.
•Perform in a survey crew member role as needed.
|Qualifications:||•Minimum of 3 years relevant experience or a BS in Surveying or related field.|
•Microstation and Geopak experience a plus.
•On-the-job training to learn duties, nature of work performed, procedures, and work methods, to become familiar with the Company’s services, and equipment operated, to attain proficiency requirements, and to fully assume responsibilities of the job.
•Must display a thorough working knowledge of the field procedures involved with various types of surveys.
•A valid driver’s license is required.
